Who is responsible for your data

PitchSeen operates the Service from the Kingdom of Bahrain and determines how the information described here is used. This notice covers pitchseen.com, app.pitchseen.com, the mobile companion app, founder and investor portals, protected document links, verification steps, and support services. Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@pitchseen.com.

Information you give us

  • Account and workspace information: name, email, mobile number, role, company or fund details, country, and profile information.
  • Opportunity content: pitch decks, executive summaries, delivery timelines, financial reports, round details, founder answers, and later document versions.
  • Investor preferences and verification: sectors, stages, ticket range, notification choices, professional-investor self-certification, government ID, and—where the account represents an entity—commercial registration or an equivalent document. PitchSeen does not request proof of personal wealth or investment capacity.
  • Communications: introduction requests, document requests, support conversations, and administrative notes needed to resolve an issue.
  • Payments: payment status and transaction references supplied by Tap. PitchSeen does not store full card numbers.

Information created when the Service is used

We record sign-in and security events, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from it, link state, document requests and approvals, one-time-verification status, acknowledgement version and hash, approved document set and versions, access timestamps, opens, active viewing time, and page or slide progress. We record observable activity; we do not claim that an open or viewing time proves investment intent.

Why we use information

We use information to create and protect accounts; operate founder workspaces and investor discovery; extract and organise uploaded content; deliver requested messages and verification codes; administer document-specific approvals; generate access and acknowledgement records; show engagement analytics; process web subscriptions and fixed activation fees; prevent fraud and abuse; answer support requests; maintain the Service; and meet applicable legal obligations.

Depending on the data and context, processing may be necessary to perform our contract, based on consent, required by law, or justified by legitimate interests such as platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Where processing depends on consent, it may be withdrawn for future processing.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only as needed to run the Service, follow your instructions, protect users, or comply with law. Current service categories include cloud hosting and private storage; SendGrid for transactional email; Twilio for SMS and one-time verification; Tap for web payments; OpenAI for configured support and document-processing functions; and malware-scanning and operational service providers. Each provider receives only the information needed for its assigned function.

Founders see requests and engagement for their own opportunities. Investors see only opportunities and documents made available to them. PitchSeen may disclose limited information to advisers, authorities, or a successor organisation where lawfully required and appropriately protected.

Retention, export, and deletion

Account information and content are kept while an account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the Service. Verification, access, security, payment, and acknowledgement records may be retained where needed for fraud prevention, dispute handling, financial records, or legal compliance. A verified account-deletion request is normally completed within 30 days; information that must be retained is isolated and kept only for the applicable purpose and period.

You may request an export or deletion from Settings or by following the steps on our Account Deletion page. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the request before acting.

Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we process your personal data and request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or objection. You may turn sector notifications on or off and change your investor preferences. You may also object to direct marketing. If you believe a request was not handled properly, you may complain to the competent authority in Bahrain or another authority with jurisdiction.

International processing and security

Some providers may process information outside your country. Where the law requires it, PitchSeen will use an appropriate transfer mechanism or obtain the required permission. We use HTTPS, strong password hashing, private storage, role-based access, malware scanning, short-lived links and sessions, audit records, and least-privilege practices. The Security & Data Handling page describes the current controls and their limits. No system is completely secure.

Cookies, mobile permissions, and age

PitchSeen uses essential session and preference storage for authentication, language choice, and core functionality. It does not use advertising cookies. The mobile app uses the device's system document picker only when you choose a file to upload; the current release does not request camera, microphone, contacts, broad media-library, or device-location access. The Service is for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be shown with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated inside the Service or by email. Privacy, export, correction, and deletion requests: hello@pitchseen.com.
